Welcome to Xiong'an
Baoding, a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Hebei Province, China, is located in the central and western part of Hebei Province, at the eastern foot of the Taihang Mountains and in the western part of the Jizhong Plain. Its total area is 22,000 square kilometers (excluding Xiong'an New Area and Dingzhou, the total area is 19,300 square kilometers). Baoding is a regional central city in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, a national new energy and advanced manufacturing base, a national historical and cultural city, and a tourist and leisure city in the Beijing area. Since ancient times, it has been a thoroughfare that "controls the three passes in the north, reaches the nine provinces in the south, connects with four regions, and dominates the Central Plains", and has always been an important place in the Beijing area and the "southern gateway of the capital", located in the Beijing-Tianjin-Shijiazhuang golden triangle.
Xiong'an New Area, a national-level new area under the jurisdiction of Hebei Province, is located in the central part of Hebei Province, right in the heart of Beijing, Tianjin and Baoding. Xiong'an New Area encompasses the three counties of Xiongxian, Rongcheng and Anxin, as well as some surrounding areas, covering an area of approximately 1,770 square kilometers.Xiong'an New Area is another new area of national significance following the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and the Shanghai Pudong New Area. It is a plan for the millennium and a major national undertaking. The entire territory of Xiong'an New Area is situated at the front edge of the alluvial-proluvial plain at the eastern foot of the Taihang Mountains, belonging to the accumulative plain landform. It has a warm temperate continental monsoon climate that is semi-humid and semi-arid, with distinct four seasons.It belongs to the Daqing River water system of the Haihe River Basin. There are numerous crisscrossing rivers and canals within the area, with a well-developed water system and a wide distribution of lakes. Baiyangdian Lake is located within its territory.
Hebei University is located in Baoding City. It is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Hebei Province. It is also a university at the first-level of the national first-class university construction that is key supported by Hebei Province.The university has a complete range of disciplines, covering 12 major categories, namely philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management, and art.The university adheres to the strategy of strengthening the university with talents and implements the "Kunyu Scholars" Support Plan.
