8th Workshop on Vulnerability Analysis and Adversarial Learning (VAAL 2026)
Collocated with DSC 2026 in Qingdao, China.
Scope
VAAL 2026 focuses on the discovery, understanding, exploitation, mitigation, and evaluation of vulnerabilities in information systems, AI systems, and emerging intelligent applications. As AI systems evolve toward generative models, autonomous agents, physical world models, and embodied intelligence, new vulnerabilities emerge across data, models, prompts, tools, memory, planning, perception, actuation, and deployment. Addressing these risks requires new theories, methods, benchmarks, and practical tools.
Adversarial learning studies how intelligent systems behave under carefully designed attacks and how robust defenses can improve security, privacy, safety, and resilience. VAAL 2026 provides a forum for researchers, practitioners, and industry experts to share new findings and discuss future directions in vulnerability analysis and adversarial learning. Original research papers, systematization-of-knowledge papers, experience papers, benchmark and dataset papers, and tool papers are welcome.

- Vulnerability analysis of generative, agentic, physical-world, and embodied AI systems
- Adversarial learning, attacks, and defenses for intelligent systems
- Security evaluation, benchmarking, and red teaming for AI systems
Paper Submission
All submissions must be written in English and submitted through the DSC 2026 CMT submission system. Please select the VAAL 2026 workshop track after entering CMT. Papers must not be under review elsewhere during the review period and must differ substantially from any previously published work.
Submissions will undergo single-blind review and must follow the Springer LNCS proceedings format. Accepted and presented workshop papers are planned to be included in the DSC 2026 Springer LNCS proceedings, subject to final proceedings approval and organizer instructions.
